Introducing: Upstation
It’s only once in a blue moon that I’m completely blown away by a band/artist/duo/gamma ray. The last time it happened to me wasn’t that long ago when I first heard Mecanico, the time before that is lost in the dark, bleak chasm of my memory. However, today marks a day for the history books for myself, as I have discovered Upstation. They are are unsigned duo from Moscow, Russia who make the finest electronic disco pop I’ve heard in awhile. Guaranteed parter starters, the fellas sound quite a lot like their fellow vodka drinking mates Tesla Boy, which in my books definitely gets a sticker and thumps up.
